Babylon Lounge hosts Trevor Grant's "Salsa by the Sea, in Brighton" on Friday nights. This seafront club becomes the only place to be if you are a salsa dancer.
Hosted by Trevor, who has promoted salsa in Brighton for more than 18 years, the club remains the oldest and most established place to dance salsa on the south coast.
A great space with a good, wooden sprung dance floor and air conditioning, it reminds you of old style tearooms in Buenos Aires, any moment you expect the music to change and a couple to tango out of nowhere.
The high quality sound system and long Havana-style bar lends to this relaxed atmosphere.
If you don't dance, but your partner does, never mind come and sit at the bar and watch the action.
You can dance any style and any standard, we don't mind... just put on your best dance clothes and come down for some fun and a wide selection of salsa music: Merengue to Cuban, LA to London smooth, it's all here!
